Dan Stermole

Dan Stermole is an accomplished artist who is a childhood friend of Syzygy's Carl Baldassarre. Dan is a graduate of the renowned Cleveland Institute of Art. He is noted for his pencil and watercolor work in natural and classical themes. His influences are DaVinci, Dali, Michaelangelo, Wyeth and Fuchs.

Dan's comments on his work:

I am primarily a draftsman. My imagery may involve anything real or imagined which moves me enough to put it down on paper. I have been influenced by all the great draftsmen of the past including: Ingres, Durer, Michelangelo, Rembrandt, Hokusai, Jakuchu and, of course, the cosmic Da Vinci. I have also studied the work of more contemporary artists such as R.B. Kitaj, Hans Bellmer, and Joseph Beuys.

I use a variety of materials that include graphite, silverpoint, chalks, charcoal, oils and watercolor.
